Happy New Year!

Wow, it is 2020. That is insane and has yet to feel real yet.

I am normally not one to make resolutions when it comes to new years. I feel like you can start your goals and aspirations any time of the year and at any point in your life, you don't need to complete a circle around the sun to follow your dreams. This year for me though is a little different.

Last year I made big plans for Choco Ichigo and didn't see them through. I wanted so much more and I was just too distracted and didn't plan enough to complete many of those goals. I did, however, start preparing what I want to do this year and that I am really happy for. I started drawing in a style that I wanted and was proud of and stopped comparing myself to other artists. Instead of comparing, I took their art as inspiration and ways to improve. I finally discovered a different talent that I had with monochrome art, which is kind of important because that is exactly how the graphic novels are going to be. More importantly, I started the script for the graphic novels. I filled in some big plot holes I have been battling for years and made some major changes in this story I started years ago and it is finally becoming a real story.

I don't know where I am going to go this year, but I know that my heart is set on starting this darn graphic novel. The fact that I already started the script means that I am ready and I am so ready for everyone to see the real story of Choco Ichigo. I just know that you are going to enjoy it because I am having so much fun diving back in and using what I have learned to make this an amazing experience for everyone.

This year is going to be the year of progress. I hope that you will join me on this amazing adventure.
